Default Compaq Presario Key mapping

Hi folks,

i'm on a compaq presario x1000 and am having a slight problem to do (i believe) with keymapping.

Using SecureCRT or it's foolish little cousin Hyperterminal i've been having a little problem using the Break key. Doing a break sequence (operating on cisco equipment) on a standard keyboard i would use CNTL + Break. On this lil' lappy, the Break button is a function button, hence it would be CNTL + Fn + Break. Unfortunately this hasn't been a happenin' thang.

The function keys have been making me a happy man in all other respects, just have had no joy in getting this break sequence to go.

Any ideas would be appreciated,

ta,

spokes
