Default Best Place to Buy Toshiba Gear ?

I have a Toshiba TE2000 and it is about 3 years old

I would like to know where I can buy more ram , hard drives or replicator dock for it. Is there a store in Australia either online or physical address where one can buy upgraded optical drives and accessories for my laptop ?

It only has a 20 gb hard drive and 256 mb ram , however I would like to upgrade these "hotswappable" drives and the ram.

The Optical drive is "read only" CD & DVD cannot write any media.

the manual says maximum ram is 512 mb but on another page it says 1 gigabyte of ram. Do you know how much is maximum ?

I am in the same boat, TE2100.

I bought an extra 512MB from www.pcmarket.com.au, however yours will be SDRAM, which will be more expensive.

I've seen optical drives at www.eyo.com.au

I've seen batteries and power accessories at www.ht.com.au, although not all that cheap.

When i comes down to Toshiba Parts, like Batteires and Power Cable, there is a few distributor channels that are avalable for that.

I have found one that is cheap, and yet they are using genuine toshiba parts. The only draw back is that i am stuck waiting up to 3 days to a week to get in parts.

However the price difference it worth it in the end.

Try Danka for Toshiba spares. I've bought replacement parts for a TE2000 there before.
