As a matter of fact, there were several threads involving XDA 2 in Mobile Phones forum. For example:
XDA II's... Anyone used one? O2 Xdaii Do a search in there with keyword xda and your can find more. And no, I'm not saying that you should searched first because it's hard to draw a line here, for such a device is both a phone and a PDA. PS. Since you are inside my computer, you should know these answers already. Last edited by max223; 11th September 2004 at 6:14 AM. |

gee the xda is getting some pretty stiff criticism. I would really like to recommend that my work get me one, so i don't have to carry and store loads of paper wherever i go, get back to the office, then type it in to the PC etc.
Can anyone recommend a similar deal to the xdaii without all the gripes?

As I said in those threads, I really love my XDA 1. But there's so much negative being said about the XDA 2 that I'm very wary about upgrading, even though WiFi and a camer would be nice .... even Bluetooth wouldn't go astray.
But there's no way I'm going back to carrying a separate phone and PDA again, even if the newer PDAs can double as a portable MP3 player the way my XDA does. Will just have to wait and see what comes out, methinks ...

Actually, I'm looking forward to HP's iPaq H6315 (or H6340). From the comments I found around the Internet, it's quite decent, maybe a better option over XDA II.

Pity it runs such a slow CPU though, especially with the (IIRC 400+Mhz XScale CPUs on the higher-end PDAs.

Yeah, the 200Mhz CPU is a pitty, but unless they can come up with some better battery solution, it's just about right.
Ah, looks like I'm guilt for driving this thread off topic. Maybe we can continue talk about H6315 in this thread. |
