Looks like a good laptop, the one thing I wasn't thinking of when looking for a laptop was the screen, I expected them all to have shit screens.

The only way you can find out before hand if you like the screen is to see it in person, plenty of places to go see an M6 in person though.
Definitely worth doing before you spend a few thousand bucks on something.

Think also about what your gonna hook it up to, crt or lcd? does it have vga and/or dvi?

Quite nice, however those 2MB cache P-M cpu's really love 512MB of ram or more .. at least upgrade it from 256MB to 384MB at a bare minimum .. it won't cost much more.

It is nice, but lets be fair, its not outstanding Dicksmiths have an Acer 292LCI which is similar specced for about $1800, Its a proper centrino but to be fair I think an ATI chipset should give you no problems. find someone with a Staff card for BigW woolworth or any companies in the chain and you can get yourself another 5% off.

The screens are nice. We sell 'em here at work.

Good value compared to others IMO.

Try the M6Ne (1.8GHz, 512 RAM, 80 GB, Radeon 9700 & 15.4" LCD). I just got myself the M6Ne and am really happy about it.
