Haha - for the money you spent on the sound setup you could have bought at least a flatscreen TV.

oh yes, lcd's and plasmas are dirty cheap, and oh yea, i couldve easily purchased a 42'' plasma, but meh

if i was planning on going big, i want big big. and big = 92'' or 100''. yes for normal tv viewing projectors would be inadeqate, but?! i dont get the time for tv. funni how we have 4 tv's in the house and none of them are bigger than 59cm

Thinking of selling this thing soon so here's a couple of shots while I still have it. For a fairly modest setup I get pretty good results visually and sound wise.
Projector is an Acer PD125, screen is DIY job and audio goes through a low end DSE dvd/stereo/amp.

with all surrounding lights on, old 68cm sitting next to it

with minimal light from nearby lamp

The best way to spoil a beautiful 40' Samsung is to put shot glasses on top of it ;p

Panasonic 86cm WS
Klipsch Reference Series RB-35's around and RC-35 center
Yamaha RX-V657
Pioneer DVR-530H

Sub has to be there, i got some strange bass holes in this room, will be changing iit a bit around soon. Pioneer and Fox connected via component to Yamaha then component to Pana. All cables are Crest Platinum. Basically i like Klipsch very clean sound and with the Yamaha it's not bright at all. Also have Rotel amps on the way, just need to fit them

Lavi, that whole setup looks squished onto the side of the room, mustn't do anything for stereo imaging does it? Have you considered bass traps for the sub problems?
