About the size of a pea, don't spread it with a credit card though, just place heatsink down and squash it, it'll spread evenly.

Actually if you look on the Artic Silver website it suggests that you don't, unless you like to have silver all over your fingers. What I said above is exactly what they recommend.

Using your fingers mixes oils from your skin with it which inhibits conductivity i think. A pea? thats a huge amount..are you sure?

Either a pea or a large grain of rice, either way it's around there and it just covers the heatspreader.

i mean seriously its almost so badly Redneck ..... maybe thats just me - or at least im sure Arctic Silver recommended the application technique before.

i guess if i am just wrong theres a bittoh Gladwrap there with my Shin Etsu on it ... spose i should git the wastage now eh? :makes face: okay i'll stop joking now...
