Thumbs up OCAU- Giving [H] a BIG Flogging: We are No1 again, woohoo!!!!!!

Anyone know what happened over the last couple of days?

After leading the [H]orde by 20K PPD for weeks, the last 2 days we've been down by about 1500-1800 PPD.

I see nothing in the graphs to show why there would be a sudden decrease in gap - can anyone enlighten us?

It would also therefore appear to be time to borg that next CPU - we will need all the help we can get over summer ...

David,

It seems I have been waiting a long time to get credit for some of my work units, so it could be a buildup of points for our team that havent been credited yet.

I am planning a couple of upgrades in the next few months thus adding to the teams total o/p..

We'll just have to see how we go.

Cheers Teddy

considering how hot this summer is supposed to be, i know melbourne has chalked up some record temp's for this time of the year, i'm suprised it's taken this long for us to drop some points.

Certainly not yet time to panic. All three of the top 3 had a massive drop in points yesterday. I find that hard to understand, except possibly for the increasing level of server problems at Stanford.

But we did have a positive delta today of some 15k. Wiped out their 3k+ gain with heaps of change, albeit marks 3 days of a decreasing delta.

On the 2 36-37 days a week or so in Sydney, I found I was able to sustain a decent overclock, though I did knock it back by a few notches of fsb.

My xp-m 2500+ reduced to 2483mhz from 2550 and my p4 2.8 to 3150mhz from 3206.

The reduction produced no visible points reduction. Feel I will be able to hold steady thru ssummer.

Both cpu's are cooled with Zalman cnps 7000A-Cu's.

that has been my case lately aswell ... as last week i had a sudden surge of 43 WU's and 7k points added to my stats ..... and this week i have had no more than half a dozen uploads ... from 4 boxens

looking to add 2 more to the fold and bring 2 back after HSC is over (at boarding skool now )

and possibly 2 more when parts return from RMA ... and pending another boxen with inspectr when i finish my exams

soo all looks good for me .... to tackle summer and the long wait ahead for my UAI

Unhappy

Well two of my machines are going to be off the air for at least a week (XP2800+ and a XP3000+) due to the fact i am moving house and it will take that long for my stuff to get up to townsville then i need to arrange for my adsl account to get moved as well.

But the plus side is that before i left my work i upgraded a second machine to an XP1800+ from a lowley pentium equivelant so i will still have 2 XP1800+ putting in work for me on a regular basis thanks to work getting an unwired connection in before i left

Cheers

I've had some downtime due to the Hunter storms but it seems I'm also waiting for some credit for a few WU's.

cool

i thought it might have been just me not getting credit.

Got 2 more comps working for me over the weekend. a duron 1.6 and p4 1.7

theyre on 24/7 so it should be all good. Put a client on my machine at work too, but it hardly gets any time to crunch as im constantly doing work on it. Not to mention it is win98 se

Cant touch the OS or else the boss will kill me

Default Lost

I have also lost the use of several machines owing to a change of work venue. Down to 1 but will have another running soon.

Yes our active numbers have been dropping along with our o/p...
nothing has changed my end but o/p is still dropping

Maybe just a crappy bunch of proteins & somehow [H] got the pick of the bunch?

Teddy

Maybe Bollocks can shed some light on things?
