Default How can i speed up the RPM of my Thermal Fans?

Well all,

I seem to have a little problem with my fans. They are like Temp Set, so when it gets hot the go fast. How can i change it from this and make them just spin at a constant RPM. The reason is my System Temp is a bit hotter than i would like it to be and yer, i dont know how to change it. I looked in BIOS and what not but yer, i got no idea

Do i just need a Fan Controller?

Specs are in Sig.

Thanks alot

i have 2 thermal controlled fans, they have an option to short the thermal sensor wire and they will then run at full speed (5500rpm.. LOUD). i have them set to their own speed control know so that my mum doesnt kill me at nights

I'm one of the people who swear by Speedfan. I used to have a little 8000 RPM 40mm fan on my Southbridge, and it got really, really annoying. I found Speedfan, set it to start when Windows did, and then just got it to automatically set the speed to 1%. That worked very well (until the heatsink holding the fan fell off the SB).

It's also got all the temperature monitor functions, and it can read HDD SMART values (although I'm not sure how accurate that is).

It does have a few problems (fan speed adjustment hardly does anything until you go under 10%, and if you stop the fans then most mainboards will shut-down to protect the CPU), but both problems are easy to fix (or ignore), and you can't argue with the price.
