Cool FTP Proxy server

Looking for an app of some description that will allow local clients to ftp (upload and download) thru a firewall. An FTP proxy of sorts.

Squid and ISA do not perform this action. They allow FTP download only.

At this stage I am looking at opening FTP ports on the firewall to the workstations that require upload/download. This is far from a graceful solution.

Anyone got any ideas in this field??

Instead of opening the ftp ports, is it at all possible to assign a port number above 1024 as a alternative ftp port??or will ftp programs only allow ftp on the ftp designated port( can't remember which port it is)

That way you could allow the firewall to remain as it now is, and have the ftp server working as well.
