When I was running the Nvidia drivers I got corruption in 3D mark05 even with just 12 Pipes. Installed new drivers Bam everything was perfect but I think I upgraded from the 61.xx drivers though . +~1000 extra points.

The shimmering issue has always been a problem no matter what driver you had and was fixed in the 67.02 drivers

I tested this by running the Hl2 stress test..
Lots of shimmering in the walls etc (66.xx) driver
Then I installed the new drivers (67.02) and all shimmering gone + ~4 fps extra

So yeah, you have nothing to loose to try

Thanks for that Titan, it was really useful!

My Elsa 6800GT wouldnt OC at all lately, only reaching a stable 365 on the GPU (useless I know!). This was even with my new Zalman CU cooler.

But using the above method I am now running 1.4v through my GT and have it running nicely at 400mhz. The ram doesnt overclock that well, its about 1.06, but hey its better than nothing.

Haha, was kinda wierd seeing such an old thread of mine come back up out of nowhere.

A little bit of a bump.. Maybe we should just let this thread die, shall we?

Well Titan's outlining of how to mod a 6800GT were really useful, its a shame to see this info disappear..
