To do outrun races you just drive up behind other racers, and they will initiate a race, all u have to do is press enter i think, and off you go.

Just found out. Skylines, Supras, WRX's are all crap.

Toyota Corolla all the way. I'd be hard pressed to get 18 secs in Street X Dyno Text Track on the Skyline. 16 secs on a corolla.

Sorry to revive a relatively old(er) thread, did anyone manage to get this one up and going on widescreen? Any modifications around? Yes, I've checked WSGF and the autopatcher I found doesn't seem to work.

Yeah....i'm also sorry to revive such an old thread but i am having issues selecting a screen resolution anything higher than 1280x1024. I have a 20" LCD Widescreen that i would dearly like to take advantage of.

I have the latest NFSU 2 patch, latest video drivers and my specs are as follows

AMD A64 3500+
1Gb Generic RAM
Nvidia GeForce 6800 GS

Cheers

Have a browse of the dedicated widescreen gaming forum, but the following link should help...

Google UniWS. Its a program that forces WS resolutions on some games. NFSU2 is on this program. Also if you change NFS:MW or carbon .exe's to nfsu2.exe and then load those games with this program it will then run them in widescreen.

I can confirm this works. A couple of months back I was running NFSU2 spanned across two LCD's at 1680*1024 res at least, from memory. You can mess around with the res with the Universal Patcher to find what works best.

Yep, had some great success with it......and it works fine with Carbon too, using speed2.exe.

I tried that program but it didn't work very well. It crashed in the game once i entered and exited a shop. It just crashes on the loading screen.
