Default hot sync mp3's

When I hot sync mp3's to my palm zire 72 they do not show up.

I successfully hot synced them when I first got my SD card. Since then I have put the card in a lap top (WindowsXP OS), now I can't sync mp3's.

Could windows have formatted the SD card so it won't transfer mp3's? I have filez installed on my palm and it picks up the card, plus docs to go picks up some html files I have. mobireader reads books?

Any help appreciated

Edit

Tryed the transfer via real player one.
The file transfers, ie I see the bar moving across and the % increasing. Once it has transfered it is not there. WTF

Edit2:
Just put the SD card in the laptop and all the mp3's are there.

What to do now?

Guess an uninstall of real player on the palm and a re-install?

Put the card back in the laptop and the files were gone.

Some corruption going on.

Hit the card format option on the palm.

Will load up some stuff tonight and see how it goes.

Very fast format BTW!

i would suggest 1 of 2 things:

either buy a SD card reader and use that to transfer songs over to the cards
OR
buy Card Export II which allows your SD card to act as a USB drive. Makes it easy to transfer the files.

wouldn't the sd card reader be the same as shoving it in the slot on my laptop. I'd need that software.

Anyway windows must have done something to it when it was inserted into the laptop. The reformat of the card worked. So all is fine again.

Luckily only had about 30 megs on it

sorry, i didnt realise you already had an SD slot on your laptop. For MP3s you can just copy the files across into the Audio directory (make it if it doesn't exist). You don't need any programs to convert the file if you are using Real Player on your Palm - it will happily read .mp3 files.
