Default How to use pics for desktop on Ipaq 1710?

Hey all.
I know how to use a pic as the desktop background, but I can't find an option to resize it to fit the desktop. It's too big and you only get 1/4 of the pic on the screen.
Do I need to resize the pics before putting them on the pda? If so, does anyone know the size?
It resizes them perfectly when you view them in a slide show, it seems odd that there's no feature like that for the desktop.

Edit: Figured that out...

How do I change it from displaying it as pretty much white?

Also, Res = 240*320.

Go to this site on microsoft and download the theme generator for your desktop PC you can load in pictures to resize and lighten/darken in the program as well. It works pretty good and I've used it to make a number of wallpapers for my PDA like Andywoo said the resolution is 240x320
