i own a zen nx myself, and its perfect for me.. i dont mind the size as i keep it in my bag anyway.. Its pretty sturdy (it survived a 3metre throw (as hard as they could) into a piece of wood (my draw), the only gripe i've had with it is that there was a problem with the zen jukebox series, where the left channel on the headphone socket stuff's up and it needs to be resoldered ( i lost my whole socket, and there a bitch to find as there smd miniture jacks, but i've found a distributor online )

but other then that, its worked flawless

I vote for the XDA and similar devices.

Why? Because you not only get (surprisingly) decent sound, but you also get a phone and PDA. Which means you only need to carry one device, not two or three.

Of course, they don't hold as much as an iPod or iRiver or Creative device, but larger SD cards are available these days, and that helps a bit.
