Unhappy Help with bluetooth

I am new to this bluetooth thing, I have just bought a HP 2210 pda, and a bluetooth adapter, and I can't seem to get it to work properly. the sofware that come with the adapter (widcomm bluetooth software - NON PRODUCTION 1.4.3 build 3) says it has a 45 day evaluation period, and I can't seem to find anywhere to get software from.
I have got it to sort of work, it can send or recieve but not both.
I am using XP pro SP2, could you point me in a direction of any good site that may help me set up bluetooth properly. (bluetooth for dummys would be nice)

You need to isolate the manufacturer of the bluetooth adapter, find their web site and download the software from there.

Cheers,
AP.

Hi

XP SP2 should now support Bluetooth natively, and use it's own drivers and software. It's not the best IMHO but it certainly works. Have you tried just plugging the device in without installing any other Bluetooth software installed?

I actually installed my Bluetooth software and then plugged the device in and Windows still used it's own software, so you shouldn't have any problems with Windows picking it up

I have tried just plugging it in and windows can't find the software for the device. And as for downloading software, there is nothing on the site to download..

As another member has stated, you should just try using the bluetooth support included with sevice pack 2.
Uninstall your software that came with the bluetooth adapter, reboot, log into windows then plug in the bluetooth adapter.
I take it that the adapter is usb?
