I have the case below this one and this one i have made computers in. I was very tempted to upgrade my lanboy to a super. The airflow is excelent, the person i made it for i also got a fan controller, even at lower speeds the fans still get good airflow.

Also if you can grab the case with the antec 350W trueblue. Its not that loud (not ultra quiet though). They are good PSU's, im powering my 3500+, 9800pro, 2hdd's and a dvd burner off it. I had a P4, x800 Pro running of the same PSU, no problems their either.

i have the superlanboy case with the true blu 350w psu.. the fans give ok airflow, though if your after serious cooling your going to want to replace them with some 120mm noisemakers, as the antec fans are designed for noise reduction.. The front one covers all 4 hard drive bays, and keeps them pretty cool.. also, don't use the plastic screws they give you for the rear fan - get some fan screws and put it in properly. If you want to boost the airflow a bit, the rear fan is replaceable with any 120mm fan, but the grill on the front fan means you can only replace it with thin 120mm fans. All in all, i quite like the case. It looks a lot better than in the pictures, and believe it or not, i actually use the pen draw in the front of the case . There are also lots of places to hide cables - my case is one of the tidiest ive seen without going to extreme measures.

oh one other thing, the hard drive mounting system is awesome. They sit sideways in your case, so you can have all the cables at the back away from the window !

No, it doesnt reach the graphics card. Adding another fan on the other side of the hdd enclosure helps, but not super much.

I want to add an intake fan on the site of the case where my gfx is anyway. Becuase right now think about how the lanboy intake to outtake works. You have one intake at the front, then you have one extake and one PSU extake. Not quite balance.

Default flimsy?

yer the lanboy is a good case, with good airflow etc, but i find that it tends to be a little flimsy? does anyone else find this?, but many people sacrifice toughness, for portability, and if u are a lan go-er this is a fantastic case because its so DAMN LIGHT!!! and it comes with an antec carry strap .....but...

P160's ROC !!, lol, i have 1, and i fin dthey are the ULTIMATE case, fantastic, but then again u do pay for it..thnx

Thumbs down Superlanboy rpoblems

i've had bad experiences with this case...although i belive that was due to the fact that the people who built it for me where, i think, incompotent. they were unable to get the front audio connected without disabling all the audio output in the case.

I disagree with the P160's being the ultimate case, I got to work with a Lian Li V1000. I think they are the ultimate case, if i hate the money i would definatly get one.

Such good airflow from one 120mm fan for the mainboard section. Also nice and open on the upper section. I really want one and then i want to go and grab a 120mm fan for the 5.25" drive bays.

Only two problems i have with them are:
Installing IDE drives down the bottom can be evil. Install SATA drives are fine though.
The power supply area doesnt take those new adjustable power supplies, and the area is a little cramped.

The Superlanboy can de described with 3 words: COKE CAN PANELS

They are so thin its not funny. I personally prefer solid well built cases. that isnt to say the superlanboy isnt an excellent case. It has awesome airflow, provided u take the stock 120's out. The front drive door is a bit dissapointing though. But installation is easy and u can mod it pretty well.

I'd have got a Super Lanboy last year if it weren't from Antec's horrible looking front fan grill, however they look awesome once vinyl dyed silver.

Had one of those cases, thought it was ok. Cooling I thought wasn't the best though. But great for taking to LANs if you want something that costs a little bit more but has better cooling and powersupply (Well more wattage anyway) that has the best mounting system for HDD etc is the Thermaltake Tsunami Dream. (Cost me about $40-$50) more than the Lanboy. Tsunami Dream is also a much bigger case.

Regards

I've also heard the perspex in the window is paper thick and bends easilly, is this true? At least it's more structurally sound than the original Lanboy, you can take both the side panels off this time right?
