Thats it, the mac mini has sold me.

It is like 15cm x 5cm computer... and it is mac which is 100 times better. My only concern is I assume it is laptop HD, which means I will have to get an external one to have it as a iTunes server.

Well I'm sold. I just bought a 1.4ghz mac mini from the aus apple store website . Mainly just to play with OSX and programming for it.

I haven't had a 'decent' mac before (I got a 333mhz iMac sitting here running linux, thats about it)

The Poms have to pay 399 pounds which is roughly 980 aussie dollars.

But wait there's more..... well maybe.

Since there is a Macworld event happening at the Westin Hotel in Sydney today, we might be getting a few more aussie specific announcements.

what sort of ram do these things take?

buying extra ram direct from the apple store seems to be a very expensive way of upgrading.

Ummmm, why is this in the Pub? Shouldn't this be in one of the computing related forums?

On other note: I admit the MacMini is nice, but the iPod Shuffle? What a joke...
