Default SFF General and Soltek EQ3801A Questions

Hello,

I am looking at swapping over my current setup into the Soltek 3801A. Does anyone have one and is there any issues with them I may need to be aware of?

I want to run a 3400+, 2x512MB of Geil 2-3-3-11, 1x DVD Burner, 1x DVD/CDRW combo, 2x WD120JD's, a netgear wireless card and my 9700Pro AIW. Will the 250W PSU support all of this? Oh, all running stock volts too.

I'll also be changing over to a 6800NU or GT in future so it'll need to run that also! Infact, will the GT card even fit?

Thanks people

The PSU should be fine, provided you arent trying to rip 2 cd's to seperate drives at the same time as running a 3dmark, and drawing 10w host power through the usb ports. Actually, even then you should still have a few dozen watts leeway.

As for fitting in a GT, a good place to find out would be forums.sudhian.com.

Hi Eltippo

I have one of those machines for my GF. It only has one drive in it 160GB Seagate I think. Rest of the specs are.

AMD64 3200+ @2.4GHz
1GB 2 x 512 kingmax tinybga PC3200

Albatron 6800GT
Optorite 16x DVDRW

It hasnt missed a beat playing HL2,doom3,farcry etc. So the PS should have more than enough juice.

Cheers
