Gigabyte 6600GT AGP 8X @ 300/1000 ?!?

wtf?!
whipped out me old GF Ti4200 and slapped in my Gigabyte 6600GT AGP 8X... and within RivaTuner and gigabyte's own monitoring/OCing software (VTuner)... it was reading; 300/1000??!!
bah!
when i enabled "smart tune mode" in VTuner it jumps straight to 500/1000 ... but RivaTuner still says 300/1000
what's going on?
anyone?

edit: ooops..sorry.. my mistake.. i was looking at 2D not 3D.
i used the nvidia autodetect "optimal frequency"...
overclocks me to 579/1160. but running @ 58c
*settles for 555/1150 @ 50c*.

300 is the stock 2D speed b4 you install the agp drivers for that mobo.
well that is my experience anyway
