Default so I've got my PDA...

So I got myself a Asus A730 PDA. But what are some of the cool things you do on your PDA? Any useful tools? What about games? Freeware?

I've got like 30mb's of free space on the ram, and about 20mb on the flash disk. What are the differences? Is the 30mb ram when you do a hard reset, it will be erased? Are there any performance differences?

I currently can't get any decent photos out of the in-built camera....and the "reviews" I've read about this had camera samples way better...any reason?

Sounds boring but Calender Entries, priortised To Do lists, deadlines all get put into my PDA. HandWriting recognition is pretty funky too. My sister has a T5, lotsa of apps for that. Off the top of my head...password managers, fuel calculators, shopping list creators. Fun Fun

Try and find a compatible copy of Lemmings. Bejewled is a popular game too.

Most cameras in Phones and PDAs are very sensitive to movement. Perhaps try using the camera on a desk or holding it with two hands firmly

oh on the camera, it is not so much movement/fuzziness, but the contrast. Everything is dark and not much colour (even at max brightness...and varying levles of contrast)...

There's a PDA version of NetStumbler available should you be so inclined to find other networks...

There's heaps of crap games on PPC.
In terms of good games, there are ports of-
Worms 2
Doom 1 and 2
Quake 1 (runs slow and is hard to control)
Tomb Raider (hard to control)
Duke Nukem 3D (runs really well and lots of fun)

Throw Pocket Divx on there too, and get a decent storage card and you've got a good portable media player

There's also a really cool plugin for winamp that couples with an app on the pocket pc that allows you to control your pc's copy of winamp via a remote control interface on your PDA.

Grab a copy of VNC too, if you want to remote control your PC with your PDA.

Have fun!
