Default Alternate uses for PDA's

Hi all I got an old palm Zire m150 (2meg of memory) and was wondering if there was a good site with freeware for these things.

What I am trying to do is to prevent it from being chucked out on the scrap heap (well not really but it doesnt get much use beyond an address book). So I am looking for alternate uses for it Like

*Universal remote control- as it has ir capabilities.

*alternate display of info while I am in a game so things like cpu usage temp etc

*winamp contoller so i can choose playlists or songs etc...

...anymore cool uses anyone can think of feel free to add them maybe an alternate os (ie linux based)? with a heap of games etc so i have something to do on those long car trips.

www.palmgear.com is the biggest Palm software website. Other exist too like www.freewarepalm.com and others.

I use my Palm (Tungsten E) for:
-calendar
-contacts
-train timetables (program called NxT)
-uni reference (lots of electrical engineering apps)
-graphics calculator (Easy Calc)
-games
-mp3s
-universal remote control
