Default Exchange \ Outlook 2000 issue with mail.

Right, so i've just upgraded about 5 machines in one of our offices to WinXP.

Now, this issue only occurs on TWO of the machines.

The staff have outlook set up so it notifies them when new mail arrives (Would you like to read it? Yes/No). On these certain machines, no mail arrives in the inbox at all untill the staff member clicks the "New Message" button, afterwhich the dialiogbox pops up and the mail appears in the inbox.

A few notes, I have no idea on the mechanics of exchange, so any advice - keep it simple

XP install is stock SP2, no altered settings from first install.

Thats cause outlook 2000 doesn't really have cached mode, it is only a 2003 edition.
Sounds like it isn't doing a send/recieve till you click the new mail button...possibly, check by just clicking send/recieve. Tried turning the feature off?

You're going to have to be more specific when you say "The feature".
