That .ini file in each directory really isn't the best way to do it. As soon as I saw that I uninstalled.

Meh, doesn't worry me...It's a hidden file and I don't have them displayed by default...the greyed out icon looks messy...

If I come across any troubles with it I'll nuke it, but so far it's been fine.

The ini file contain this:

Code:
[Picasa]
P2category=Cars
Which I guess tell picasa that the pictures in the folder the ini file resides in the category I made called cars.

Not too much too them....And they don't bother me at all

It also contains any changes you make to photos (crops, anything else you do to them) ... it doesn't change the original image, it just holds transformation data in that .ini file.

I think.

I haven't got it installed anymore, maybe someone can confirm this.

Yeah, it does....Like this:

Code:
[Picasa]
P2category=Stephanie
[DCP_2697.JPG]
backuphash=60023
crop=rect(527 260 1511 918)
filters=crop=1,527,260,1511,918;
I assume it would also hold things such as effects and such too...

Once you have done the cropping etc you wanna do to the pics you can then export them as modified images.

Also, picasa looks like this btw for anyone who hasnt seen it yet...

Thats the main interface...you can just scroll through all the categories as well

Yep.

Haven't used it tho. Some functionality (like red-eye reduction) is limited to jpgs. Its free to download, so if you're interested, give it a go. It shouldn't hurt too much
