Default Fitting a HDD into a FDD spot?

How do i go ahead putting a hdd in a fdd spot? Does it just fit in easy peasy? or do i have to get certain brackets? Also is it safe? like since it isnt made for a HDD? Unfortunately I do not have a spare HDD to try this, and moving mine in/out would be painful.

So yer, thanks guys, and any help is appreciated

Take an average case with 4 3.5" drive bays, 2 will have mounting holes for hdd's only and the other 2 will have dual hdd/fdd mounting holes.

So hdd's fit fine, in any 3.5" bay (usually).

normaly the spaces for HDD and FDD are the same, the only differnce is that the floppy drive needs to be accesable from the outside of the case. I have put a HDD in a external drive bay before and a floppy into an internal drive bay, so they are fully compadable, just try to put the cover back onto the external drive bay so you dont have a hole in the front of the case, althogh it doesnt realy matter
