Default imac g3 ram it supports :|

ok people i may aswell post this here as i dont want to get flamed in other sections :|

im selling 2x256mb sticks of SD ram on ebay a customer asked me a questions saying will this ram fit his imac g3 i thought no because i thought imacs run on EDO ram...

did a google search and

unless its so-dimm pc-66~pc-100 sdram then it wont work it
so-dimm uses 144pins not 168pins

it would depend on what specific type of G3 he had.

i used to have an indigo imac (i forget exactly which one, but it was a G3) and it used standard, run of the mill, sdram.

according to this lil nifty program i got all imacs produced up until july 2000 used so-dimm ram

it must be wrong.
or the site linked in the first post is wrong.

it lists some imacs from july 2000 and earlier as having sdram.

i already have a bidder on the item i just told the guy asking the question No it will not work...it will probly end up all messey when the ram dosnt work.....and i will probly end up getting bad feedback

Just tell him to go to link

This is a great reliable site with very simple check up tools for his Imac model.

Basically, it says Imac up to 333mhz --> SODIMM, so yours wont work

Imac 350-700mhz PC100-PC133 SDRAM so yours might work
