Default TRIO 27" LCD Widescreen TV

Hi guys,

LCD tv seems to be the go these days and while researching I came across one of these

They retail for $1498 at DSE. That's a bloody cheap price if u ask me But then again, the specs do look pretty basic.

I havn't actually seen one so I'll probly go have a look in the next couple of days.

Now, has anyone had any experiences with these?

The only other Trio products that we've sold before were SD set top boxes. Basic, but no reported problems that I know of.

Then again, it only started being sold two weeks ago and I've been on leave, so *shrugs*.

If you have a powerhouse nearby, they should have one setup and on display. It should also be priced at about $1400 (its on special in the current catalog... the second current catalog...).

While i'm not exactly an expert when it comes to LCDs, i have to say the one we've got setup in our store doesn't look half bad for the price.

It lacks a DVI input and Dealsdirect are selling the Tevion that was sold in Aldi late last year for $1199 (about $250 less shipped).

If you're still keen on the Trio, I saw it in my local Powerhouse (Carnegie) for $1400, so there's definitely some wriggle room on the price...

Actually, $1399... current catalogue. I'm doubting there would be that much budge room.

There is also some new acer branded LCD's hitting the market next month at some pretty good price points and good input/PQ levels, keep an eye out for them

I'm currently running a 42 inch TCL plasma as my display device in my HT and the picture it produces is nothing short of outstanding....

It's also finished in a cool metallic white colour which looks appealing.

A totally reccomended brand.
