Default Dell D810 - monitor type

Rightyo, I have to get my boss a new laptop. He currently has a 3month old Sony Vaio A29GP which he hates, cause:
a) it doesn't recover very well from being dropped...
b) the casing melts when you have a hot candle sitting behind the LCD
c) its a Sony...

So, I was thinking of getting the D810 from Dell, but I need to know if the screen is similar to the Sony Vaio - it's that glassy new type of display that a few laptops are coming out with these days. He insists it must have this, and cause I can't go in and check it for myself I need to rely on you lot.

I've tried Dell, but Dell Singapore (i live there now) suck harder then most other companies in Singapore.
