Default Best CPU Cooler on the Market

Hi,
Lets talk about CPU Cooler....
What are the CPU cooler is good for overclocking.
Please talk about the performace instead of the design.

Some people recommend "3D Rocket Cooler-Pro" from gigabyte, others tell me about "thermalright XP-120". How is the performance of those coolers? Is it good or any other better option out there?

Thanx bro and sis out there...

If you've got the money... an XP120 and 120MM Fan, or the XP90Cu and a 92MM fan.

Other than that, one of the Zalman 7700-Cu or 7000-Cu's.

have a look at the PrimeCooler HyperCool 4+ Cu

there is a review comparing it to the XP120

http://hi-techreviews.com/nuke/prime...ler4_page4.htm

Quote:
The biggest and perhaps most important difference between to the two heatsinks is the noise level, to achieve the temperatures that we recorded on the XP-120 it required us to use a fan that generates 48 db of noise whereas the Primecool 4+ did the same thing while only generating 30 db of noise.

Rod-M isn't that just a copy of the Zalman 7000Cu but with curved fins for greater surface area?

similar design to the 7700cu yes, but also

it is slightly bigger diameter
it is slightly lighter,
its fin design makes it less likely to interfere with components on the motherboard (RAM, northbridge HSF, caps etc)
its cheaper

Yep the 'PrimeCooler HyperCool 4+ Cu' is good value for money, so is the 'Thermaltake Big Typhoon'

I have the big typhoon and after lapping it my temps are 29-30c idle and 44-45c load with my A64 @ 2640mhz 1.55v. Only cost me about $65 too.

ThermalRight make the best air cooling imo.. The XP120 and XP90/C

All the other crappy aircoolers out there are so dam annoying to install aswell.. Ive had zalman, thermaltake(worst to install), coolermaster(bad also) for instance

Ive reapplied my Gigabyte 3d cooler. Stock 3400+ A64 getting around 30> on idle, and around 35~36 on load. Although i really expected cooler temps. But must have been my AS5 application [first time using it].

Thats @ 2100RPM plus a Zalman FB123 fan hovering above it. Which is is a minimum speed of the Gigabyte cooler. All other Antec P180 fans are on low setting.

I have no idea how it would perform OC-ed. Keeping in mind theres still 4000RPM left at its disposal, I think it would rate pretty well.

i'm very happy with arctic freezer 64.

Quieter and cooler than stock heatsink. Not overly heavy and relatively cheap.

Brute force cooling... XP-120 with the monster DFB fan would be in the upper echelons of pure cooling power - although the XP-90C with a similarly insanely specced 92mm fan would come close to if not matching it's larger sibling, whilst not having to deal with the XP-120's huge footprint.
The primecoolers have been critisied in a few reviews i've read as having a rather questionable build quality, and also having rather questionable fans.

You need to buy a bracket which is not included with the heatsink itself.

For price, performance and silence, the Freezer 64 is great. But when it comes to pure cooling capacity the big typhoon and PrimeCooler HyperCool 4+ Cu own.
