does this sound like a good deal? i am selling my humble IBM T22 P3 900 for $700.00 and thinking of buying this acer 1692. i tis appealing also that i can pay it off over 12 months without interest.

it should play the odd game ok? mainly i use microsoft flight 2004. i have never used a widescreen notebook before either. any downsides? wouldn't there be bars either side of normal use and internet browsing? i sthe only advantage of widescreen for movies?

any info on this product welcomed
thanks

My HP Dv1029 is 14' Widescreen. After using Widescreen, I wouldnt touch anything else. Its brilliant. No issues with browsing, games or apps.

You'll have no dramas and probably love it to bits.

that link was for only 60GIG hard drive and 64meg x700. the one in my first post is for 80gig hard drive and 128meg x700 video card. so i will assume the price in my first post is very good considering the specs it has.
