Default Wacom Tablets?

Can Wacom Tablets be used for hand writing recognition as good as other methods (don't know of any yet)....

Basically, I want to know if a cheap wacom can be used for basic sketches, touchups as well as hand recognition (accurately).

if you practise a bit, then yes it'll do what you want it to do. takes a little getting used to.
