A couple of photos from the skate park I finally got around to getting to today. It's hard to get good photos because most of the kids aren't actually all that good

Some nice shots.
Did you get any from any 'other' angles? Shots like from down low to the edge of jumps & ramps look really good as they always exaggerate the height of the skater/blader. Also interested in getting some EXIF like shutter speeds - those shots look VERY crisp. I wish last skate shoot i did i had decent lighting.

From the EXIF, i'm guessing he used a 70-200 f2.8 L lens?

Nice shots. Just wondering petal666 - do you just wander down to the park and start shooting? I've always felt really self-conscious and borderline perverted when I even think about taking shots at the skate park down the road from me...just asking for your thoughts.

Looking at the guys he's shot, I think if they thought he was peverted they walk right up to him and say so! Wish I'd been into photography before I left Aus, because there is a huge half pipe about 3 blocks from home.

All data is still in the images.
I tried using a shorter lens and getting under the ramps but the guys were so inconsistent I put the 70-200 on so I could follow them around the whole park. I had just been to a christening so I was all dressed up and looked totally out of place but I just walked up and started taking photos. I didn't bother with the younger kids because they basically sucked.
