Unhappy P3V4X video corruption

I recently installed a GeForce2 MX video card to my P3V4X and I am always getting some video corruption. Namely the Start menu button in Win98SE gets corrupted or blacked out as does the side bar on the start menu and sometimes I get an articfact on the desktop.

I have tried different versions of Nvidea drivers including the latest and the corruption is still there. I also tried Via's latest 4-in1 drivers and same thing. When I reboot, everything is fine but after I play a game or open an app, the start button gets corrupted. Game video is fine though, just that start menu problem.

Anyone know of this problem? I have searched everywhere and could not find any info on it.

TIA!

My specs are..

Asus P3v4X MB
P3 550mhz CPU
256 megs PC-133 ram (1 stick)
GeForce2 MX AGP video card
Yamaha DS/XG PCI sound card
Fujitsu 17gig ATA66 Drive
10x DVD drive
Creative 48x CD drive
Matshita 8x4x32 CDR
D-Link 10/100 NIC

The fix is not applicable to win98 .

Thanks for the info. Guess it's time for me to buy a different brand of sound card as they are certainly cheaper than buying WinME.
