Smile Athlon XP 1700 Operating Temperature

Can any one offer suggestions on what I should expect as the normal operating temperature for an Athlon XP 1700 (not overclocked).

Thanks

30 - 50C is an acceptable range, the cooler the better. It depends on what sort of heatsink you are going to use

My XP1700 is running 42 degrees idle and 50 degrees under full load. Ambient temp is ~28 degrees and MB temp 32 degrees Running with shitty Vulcano 7 ATM.

However it is oc. It's @ 1666 with 1.825V. So more heat is produce.

My 1600+ with a GlobalWin WBK68 hs and GlobalWin fan (unknown tpe, 7200rpm) runns at 39 degrees while folding. (at least, that's what MBM 4 said, now that i've upgraded to MBM 5.17, it reckons it's running @ 127 degrees )

Mine is running at 43-45°C (20-22°C ambient) full load with a 5.5k fan @ 7v on a ThermoEngine.

My XP1600+ is running at 57°c right now under full load (folding), and I'm yet to have a crash.

geeeeeeeeez... 36 deg c from 1600+ to 2000+
i dont think so man
...... i look at my system...........there no way........i own a volcano 6cu+ as well as thermoengine turbo editon w/ ystech 7000rpm
on tmep comes up very similar on a asus a7a266-e and msi k7t turbo R

and the msi has a temp probe that actaully touches the core...those flexy ones.....

AERO esp..... from 1600+ and 2k+
i my be wrong..... but spome sensors are terribly in acurate...... using a 15$ and 55$ cooler has 3 degrees diff on full load......

I suppose 50 under full load and o/c is about right. Anything more than that and you might be asking for trouble

The idle temp for the Athlon XP 1700 i have, at default speed, was 39 degrees @26 ambient. Using the old Alpha PAL6045.

I havent unlocked it yet.. I use it day to day at 1650MHz, 150fsb. Right now temp is 56 underload (folding) @ 32 ambient. No probs rock solid.

Oh, side panel is always off

see spec below

no o/ced with ambient warm at 28c (mobo 30c)
idle:57
Load: 65c

Does not lock up but I have a shitty HSF

I DO NOT BELIEVE THE ASUS REPORTED TEMPS I think they are 10c high than actual based on others comments

when o/c to 1.6 gig it is too hot and crashes.

i am getting a volcano 7 tommorow as mu current hsf is only 8cm 2800rpm.

I do have good thermally controlled case fans but.

Its very quiet too, that is until 32 c when the thermistor kicks in and the case tries to take off when the fans rev up ! Fun but ;-)

cheers

Dual XP1700s - Alpha PAL6035 Heatsinks with YSTech 4500RPM fans.

Ambient : 24deg
Motherboard : 28deg
CPUs : 44deg & 46deg

All temps are full load (SETI).
