Default Is there a weight inside the mx518?

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a weight inside the Logitech mx518?
Piccies of the inside?

I have an mx500 and I have removed the weight inside and it is lighter than my mx518.

Thanks,
Rift

apparently the mx518 is 10% lighter than the mx510, and i know for sure there is a weight in the mx510, its underneath the logitech symbol, its about the size of 3-4 20cent pieces ontop of each other.

better control, imagine a rifle for instance that was as light as a feather. you couldnt aim it properly. well, its the same as a mouse. ppl put weights in mice the same as they have heavier stocks on a rifle. its all about the feel and what you are comforable with.

as you can see, its a big thing, the wiight of a mouse for gamers. i prefer a heavier mouse coz i eat my greens and am big and strong

I'm still bamboozled why you'd want to make a MX518 lighter... they are perfect IMO

Well, the reason i ask is that I subscribe to the theory (and magazine if it ain't broke, tweak it.
I've had the mx518 a while and want to try and lighten it if there is a weight inside. I compared it to my old (lightened) mx500 and darn it, it felt lighter and glided more smoothly on my (home made) teflon mouse pad.

Rift.

My old MX700 is quite a fair bit heavier than my MX1000.

There is no "problem" to solve. Its a matter of improvement.
The idea was to lighten the mx518 by removing any weight inside it like the mx500 and 510 have.
