Default Projector & LCD, primary/secondary settings

I have a BFG 7800GTX, with a Sony HS50 projector (720p) and Dell FPW2405 LCD. I have them connect (LCD via DVI) (PJ via DVI/HDMI converter) and it works fine..

However, I want to be able to playback all my movies/games on the HS50, so that would have to be "master" (or you get the black screen), but I also want to keep my LCD's resolution at 1920x1200.

So;

LCD @ 1920x1200
PJ @ 1280x720

When I go to LANs, I want to have my LCD, switch to Master and run it all on there, but when I get home, I want to run it through the PJ, so switch that to master and if I wanted to play on the LCD, switch it back.

Is there anyway to do this? I've messed with UltraMON but it doesn't seem to let me do it. Any help is much appreciated.

TIA.

If you want movies only to be running on the projector you can set an option in PowerDVD which will play it on both the LCD and the Projector.....I had this problem with my notebook lately, I plugged in a larger LCD and it was fine but when I watch a movie it would only play on my notebook and just black screen on my other LCD I found the option only in PowerDVD and it was sweet I have since then built a MCE system though

I've got another system I could use purely for playback.. but this would just be easier (mainly because I have an X2 4400+ with 2GB of memory) so I can do a million things at once whilst having a DVD playing for other people.

But, I'll try Power DVD

Let us know how you go

How do you have the LCD/Proj set up? in a Span mode I assume and not a clone?

Nah, because it's in diff. rooms. If I run Clone, it won't let me choose different resolutions

If I use Ultramon, it will run "twinview", but it spans some of it (screen/taskbar). It sucks :/
