Default Do i need a special video card for dual monitors?

I just aquired a second monitor and want to get a dual monitor setup going. My current AGP card is a TNT2. I was wondering if this card is compatible with a dual setup, and if so, do i need to buy a specific PCI video adapter or will any work?

I wanna buy the cheapest one i can find that is capable of 1024*768*16. What should i be looking for and how much will it cost.

Apparently the Matrox PCI vid cards are good for dual monitor setups. I have a Melinemium 2 that i have been told is good stuff for dual setups. Hrmmm, i have 2 monitors on my desk, as i have 2 pc's.

I reckon i might play with a dual setup for some fun in the next few days.

It is my understanding of the issue @ hand that you will need to find a vga card that is capable of being the 2nd card in the system.

There has been a few threads in the last month or so discussing the issue of dual monitor's and which PCI vga cards to use. Do a search, found in the top right hand conor of ya screen, second button from the right, with the string "dual monitors".

You should turn up the previous threads and find some good info in there.

some S3 Trio's don't play nice as secondary cards, but my S3 Trio and S3 Virge both work perfectly as second card to an AGP MX400
