is it possible to update the x50v to 2005, or are dell planning on making it upgradeable?

Yes, there will be a WM5 for the X50 Series.

It should around $50 for the upgrade.

The Dell specs show 64Mb of SDRAM which is the same as the X50v and 256Mb of Flash ROM which is double the X50, so all you get is latest OS and double the internal storage.

much better off getting a x50v and upgrading then buying an sd card. Works out cheaper that way.

According to the Dell website quoted the X50v is $49 cheaper. How is it cheaper to buy an X50v, pay for the 2005 upgrade and buy an SD card?

cheaper?

i'd rather be running more programs with more memory than having one of my memory slots taken by a flash card

i was talking about at special time, but if they both come down to 50 dollars difference then i would get the x51v.
I was reading that website and it said that it is lead free, does that actually mean much or is that just to make it look better?

im confused...what special time are you talkin about? because windows mobile 5 already comes standard with the x51 series

lead free probably means that the pda no longer contains the metal lead...hence weighing less

you know when they have the 20% off specials. I was thinking about that applying to the x50v and not the x51v but if the 20% discount applies to both then as you said the x51v is better value.
