Default Dammit - stuffed that up! (SN95G5B-V3)

I was reading the doco on both XPCTools and the BIOS update for my SN95G5B-V3, as nTune wouldn't do much, and XPC Tools sort of worked, but didn't allow updates. The BIOS (SN95S3X7) was supposedly updated for Cool 'n Quiet and nTune, and the XPCTools said that to work properly, you had to ensure the DMI area of the BIOS was updated. This can be done in Windows or by using AWDFlash in DOS mode with the /cd parameter.
I hadn't done that on the initial flash, so thought I would give it a try. However, after successfully updating the BIOS, nTune is no different, Cool 'n Quiet still doesn't appear to run and XPC Tools crashes when I try to run it. I uninstalled it and re-installed to no avail.
Does anyone have any clues?

P.S. x2-3800 E6, 1gig Corsair Value Select, SATA WD 120, FX5900XT.

Default New version of XPC Tools out

Well, I have partially fixed it! There has been a version 1.1 of XPCTools released this week. Loaded that and it works (sort of - no OC tools). It said to set the BIOS to fail-safe defaults before running it, so I did that. Don't know if it actually helped - but I have reset to Optimum, with the bus at 210, so it all seems OK.

A hah - a new version of the BIOS is now out for all versions of the SN95G5B that supports Cool 'n Quiet for the x2-3800. I have updated to this, and now the AMD Dashboard works!
Still experimenting, as I opened the Dashboard, XPCTools and nTune - and after a small time the whole PC shut down.

I will keep trying.

At last I have Cool 'n Quiet going. I had to uninstall & reinstall the AMD64 Processor driver with the new BIOS, and now it throttles and lowers the voltage.
I'll keep on testing.
