Hi guys,
I'm looking at purchasing a Home Theatre PC to connect to my tv so that I can watch MPG's on my bigscreen TV, and also use it as an MP3 player via the HTS as well. I've been looking at the Shuttle PC's and the MSI Mega PC's - obviously I need to add in CPU, RAM, HDD and better graphics if I want to. What else would I need to get? Judging from it's specs I will need to chuck on an OS. My other main question - is it possible to control these units via remote control? What I really would like is if I can put the unit next to the DVD player and just mash a few buttons on a control and be watching an MPG file or listening to audio. Hope this makes sense! Jaff

Gday Jaff,
Answering your Q about removes, the MSI HTPC includes a remote that isn't bad. Shuttle machines don't, ATI's remote wonder can be used. I've got one and it has a nice quality feel about it, but it only supports programs for which plugins are written - but that includes most of the big apps. Otherwise, you could get a TV card and see if you can use it's remote within other apps. JB |

Ok sounds like the MSI is the go then. Thanks for the reply!
