Default ASUS W5 or M5?

I pretty much had my heart set on getting the W5 740DD for around $2700 inc gst and shipping. It's the white one. I am getting this because my girlfriend will mostly be using it at uni and it's light and looks awesome.

Then I saw this link:
http://www.arc.com.au/?NBASM52NWPM715

That has the M5 for only $1899. A full $800 cheaper for not that much less of a notebook. I see that it is on special down from $2999 as well. And yes, it's also white.

From what I could tell the differences were that this M5 didn't have widescreen, no glare lcd, slower processor (1.5 compared to 1.7) and a smaller HDD (60gb compared to 80gb).

Given that I still will effectively own the laptop, and would want the best laptop for my money, should I stick with the W5 or go cheaper for the M5? As far as my girlfiend is concered, processing power, widescreen, and hdd size is irrelavent as long as it's small, light and white! I've heard great things about the W5 but not much about the M5.

To W5 or not to W5? That is the question...

Bought the wife a M5 (brown colour not white)a year ago. Brilliant machine if you want a functional machine that is light and mobile with CD/DVD inbuilt. This machine has travelled everywhere, Classy finish and solid. Not for games. Good price.
