Default Dell Axim X50v - help / suggestions:)

Hey all,

I was just wondering, I am trying to setup my wireless on my X50v for my home network. It is confusing which program I am meant to use. Do I use the Odyssey client or the Dell Axim WLAN config tool?

Also, I filter by MAC addresses on my wireless network, is it possible to find out what the mac address is for my X50v? Tried looking where the battery is, no go so far.

Also, looking for games (freeware if possible) and utilities or other cool stuff you've found to use for it.

Thanks.

Use the Dell WLAN Utility

You can find the MAC address under Advanced in the utility.

I use the Dell Axim WLAN tool for configuring (I dont even know what that odesey client does I never used it). To find out your MAC address turn on the wireless radio (button on the side or using the WLAN utility) and then open up the Dell WLAN utility (start/settings -> connections tab -> Dell WLAn utility) and go to the Advanced tab. It should show it there.
Alternatively temporarily turn off mac filtering on your wireless network, allow the PDA to connect and then the wireless access point (or gateway or whatever it is) you are using should be able to tell you what mac addresses are connected.

The best resource I have found for finding help and software etc. is
www.aximsite.com
They have forums with lost of information
