Default System Board is Borked. Replacement $$ wtf?!?

hey all

I've got a A22M that has a bad system board, but replacements are like so expensive. Anyone know any good 'local' people I can contact to get a replacement board, or know of anywhere interested in a laptop with a stuffed system board?

As a general rule the price offered is their way of saying buy a new notebook. Same thing with screens. Sux balls but when you do the maths on the quantities they probably sell they have a very slight justification.

Im sorry but its time to rip the HDD out and put it in a usb case, try sell the ram and throw the rest in the bin.

Dont stop there, take off the screen and sell that and the rest of the case on eBay.

Laptop repairs are always costly.

You could always try Ebay for a MB, I've seen some go for a reasonable price.

Cheers Pero :-)

Try US Ebay as well. Seriously we don't strip our desktop machines for a m/b fault... if the laptop is ok, it's a shame to junk it because of that small problem.

Generally speaking the company should offer a reasonable price for laptop parts 3 years from inception of that product.

A good median price is $300-$400 for laptop boards up to 3 years after the introduction.

I know most manufacturers are well over that.

I drive a stock R33 non turbo automatic Skyline - 120kW at the wheels!
