I've been looking around for a very low spec/cheap notebook to do my word processing and web/software coding on(as well as browse the net).
No more than three minutes ago, I was directed to this page.... http://shop1.outpost.com/product/453...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG I've never heard of this brand but then again, I know nothing about laptops so help is definitely needed. Any thoughts, opinions or ideas? Thanks. |

Doesn't matter, as it says not available for export - and it is Fry's in the US.

Found these...
IBM Thinkpad T20 http://www.notebooksrus.com.au/catal...roductID=74309 Specs are: PENTIUM 3/700MHZ, 256MB RAM, 12GB HDD, 14.1" TFT, DVD ROM, FDD, 56K, LAN, WIN 2000, 3 MONTHS WARRANTY. Detailed Description Width: 304 mm (12.0 in) Depth: 250 mm (9.8 in) Height: 33.1 mm (1.3 in) Weight: 2.1 kg (4.6 lb) with Li-Ion battery pack and weight saver bezel only Weight: 2.35 kg (5.2 lb) with Li-Ion battery pack, and DVD drive I take it that this doesn't have wireless internet capability. Is it possible to have it installed and does "lan" allow me to connect via broadband internet?(probably a very stupid question) Here's another.... TOSHIBA SATELITTE PRO 4600 http://www.notebooksrus.com.au/catal...roductID=74312 Specs: 256MB RAM 18.6GB HDD DVD ROM FDD 14.1" TFT 56K, 10/100 USB WIN 98 I'd love some advice. Thanks. It'll be mainly used for web browsing, web/software coding, a little music listening and DVD watching when possible.
![]() Might even put another 256mb RAM in it if things get a little slow. Last edited by whiterabbit; 10th October 2005 at 7:21 AM. |
