Yeh I had a BenQ 7000, they seem to over rate the MR 9600/9700 video chips, I found it was as useless as the MR 9000 and intel Extreme 2, they say it will run CSS and Doom 3, but they look like shit and the frame rate is still crap
Try these 2 notebooks, both can be had for the price of a BenQ 7000 http://www.itchannel.com.au/Products/Millennia-8000.asp http://www.itchannel.com.au/Products...-6400-6450.asp The 8000 can have a 6600 or a 6800 both are DDR3 but its a 17" Centrino which is a little huge, cheapest decent config is $2195 The 6450 has a x700 with DDR but the Notebook is only 2.9kg, also the x700 is supposed to be 20% faster than the 6600 and aparently runs Halflife 2 really well, you can even have 2xAA and 8xAF with a res of 1280x768 with all settings to max, cheapest decent config is $1995 either of those would be ecellent gaming machines without sacrificing battery life, but the 8000 looks like a kick ass machine but its to big for most people.
