Whats the best sub-x800 ATI card ?

Hi guys , I built up a PC for the missus and I didnt realise how slow her x700 was until I looked at overclocking it . The highest I can get the mem clock before it fails completely is 275 mhz !!! while the gpu clocks to 440 mhz . So far it has just cracked the 6000 point barrier with 6033 this morning . What would be the best sub-x800 series pci-e video card I could put in it to boost up the scores ? Its a non-gamer , but I want to see what she will do , and need a decent submission or the last class in 3D03 score list . Specs are A64 3000 venice , A8N SLI , currently 2 GB GeIL , but getting some nice TCCD for it .

I cant help myself .

Thats OK , I have a X700 pro 256 on the way , then I will see for myself .

Whats the point? Seriously? Going from an X700 to an X700 Pro?

Just get an X800GT.

ok maybe go a X800GT or GTO they seem the best bang for bucks at the moment.

As I said in my first post , I want a card for a good placing in the sub-x800 class for 3Dmark03 , its not a gamer so it doesnt need SLi or a 7800 series card , I was just surprised at the lamer clockability of the x700 ram and a pro with faster ram will pick up the score alot . Besides that its hardly worth any more than the x700 I bought . Isnt a x800GTO only as good as a 6600GT ? I should have bought a 6600GT but thems the breaks , and I wanted to play with an ATi card , I have already owned a 6600GT .

Sounds logical to me .

I wont catch you , but I am currently around last place at 6061 points best , with 280 mhz mem clock

. My ranking there should improve soon .

I've got more cpu+mem speed this time and more gpu speed
hopefully should hit 9.2-9.3k before vmodding hopefully

You arent going to cheat with that opteron are you ?

I wont catch you coz my opteron is not going into this pc . Its only a 3000+ venice but its up to 9x250 so far at stock vcore , creeping up on it slowly , just to see what she will do .

BTW what clocks are you getting out of your x700 pro ? Edit , seen it in your 3dmark score
