May I suggest replacing (or adding) this:
http://www.extreme.outervision.com/p...ulatorlite.jsp To your the following OP: Must read threads and links! 8) PSU calculator Gossip and discussion for all OCAU users here Seems slightly more up-to-date and easier to use than the one that's there.

Sean, you may care to put this link up:
http://www.jonnyguru.com/SMPS_UL.htm It identifies the true manufacturers of PSUs.

Good thread, but maybe another shorter list of "essential" programs would be a good idea. People new to overclocking might get a bit confused and not know which of the dozens of programs to use.
Like this for example: Orthos- CPU stability testing CoreTemp - CPU temperature monitoring Memtest- RAM stability testing CPU-Z- system information That's essentially all you need for a CPU overclock. Then under that you could have the full list of programs. Just an idea.

Well it makes a sense but at OCAU is other stickies for general discussion about overclocking.
Thus a novice can discuss with others which software is necessary in the beggining. |

Suggestion, maybe add newer version of 3dmark to the list possibly including vantage.

No mention of Folding@Home for Stress Testing? Good for testing stability/temps for both CPU & GPU.
![]() http://folding.stanford.edu/ not too mention helping the OCAU Team retain second place in the world. |

the new version of OCCT v3.1.0 has more tests. it now tests your gpu, gpu memtest (only nvidia cards), power supply, cpu linpack (not to sure what this on is exactly) and the usual cpu and ram.
and the support now includes i7 cpu. |
