I stand corrected, I was going off older/incomplete information.

Hopefully there are a few gems!

The Laphroaig will be a rather brutal introduction.

I hope you don't mind, I thought I'd share.

Aged in Sherry casks (Manzanilla), a bit of honey and fruit. It's got a sharp finish, which is not for all.

Bought a BNJ for tonight, not a bad dram. Better than grants for only a few bucks more.

Forgot to stop home on the way to a gathering, so picked up a bottle of Talisker the other day.

First dabble with a mid-smokey scotch and it's definitely something I like!

On the subject of birthday, I know that I've got at least one duty free bottle of something quite nice (My friend was very excited for me!)

Picked myself up a bottle of the Jameson Midleton blend for 2011 after really enjoying the 2008 blend that I picked up a few years ago, it was to good an opportunity to pass up. With the blend changing each year this can be a small gamble but I am really looking forward to cracking this out on the right occasion and comparing to the 2008 blend.

Brutal? Please explain? I liked the Laphroaig very much indeed.

Polished off my 4th bottle of BNJ, I'm finding it the perfect compliment to any meal and most Friday night parties at mine involve us polishing off another

I've turned a few non scotch drinkers using BNJ

I've also bought 8 of these: http://danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_384541/

They are perfect for gifts

BNJ is a blend of 8 single malts vs most other blends are 20-40 single and grain malts

For $35 you are seriously getting a bargain I'd buy ample bottles even if it was $50 I'd drink it sparingly if it was $80-$100 but would still buy it for sure

Best quality blend I've had

BNJ is excellent value for money. It used to be that for a good inexpensive whisky I would go for Jamiesons, now there is a choice
