To clarify, BNJ is still 40% grain whisky, but yes, it contains only 8 different malt whiskies.

I finally got paid from the last 6 weeks of work (love Payroll) so I'll probably be buying something nice for this weekend.
I'm tempted to try a Johnnie green just to see if it will be worth buying bottles when they start to run low.

I like it.If you like it and want to branch out, the different finishes they do (especially Nectar d'Or) are very nice. ![]() Cheers, - Febs.

Picked up some Johnnie Green today. After tasting it again I can't quite remember why I stopped drinking it... it's pretty nice stuff. Pity it's disappearing.

got to try some real gems the other night
rosebank 25 y.o. ive been dying to try a rosebank, the defunct distiller is famous for its traditional low lands triple-distils this lived up to the hype, like nothing ive ever tasted, the nose for me is caramel and butterscotch, with that punchy lowlands triple distilled alcoholic spike the palate is amazing, heavy alcohol and you get some nice pepper the finish is very warming, i love this malt port ellen 25 y.o. this is a limited bottling from douglas laing of malt from the defunct port ellen distillary this is another gem of a malt, 50% you certainly get the sugary-ness that malt reviewers mention on the nose and the palate of this one and of course with any islay you expect some smoke/peat on the finish and this one provides, but quite delicate and not iodiney, opposite of a laphroaig malt tasting is becoming a weekly ritual! Ardbeg 10y/o is $72 at 1st choice (saw it today while attempting to get a 1 ltr Glenmorangie they have advertised for $65..)
got a raincheck on the glenmorangie, and bought the 3 pack malt set instead..

Definitely a great 'with coke' scotch and not too bad straight |
