Default PS2 Cleaning

Hey guys,

I have recently notice that my ps2 isnt playing dvd's as well as it used to. It will sometimes stutter while playing, stopping and starting and the like. I know the disc is fine because it works fine on friends machines and on my comp.

Is there any way of cleaning it (other than with a standard cd lense cleaner...already tried that) or do i need to take it into a shop and get it done by a pro???

Any help appreciated.

Regards, Nick.
