Anyone do much slope soaring? I'm just getting into it, at the suggestion of some of the guys at work, but they don't do it much, so I'm going to be doing it solo most of the time.
Does anyone have any good links they can offer? cheers Sciby. |

Hey Sciby,
There's plenty out there. Just type in slope soaring to the nearest search engine. My advice if you're going to do it by yourself is to get an EPP foam model of some sort. Wings are the most popular but have some orientation problems when you're learning and are a bit twitchy for the new flyer. SLOPE stands for Smashed Lost Obilterated Pulverised Eventually so don't get too attached to anything..... http://www.ozemail.com.au/~flyingwing is my website with some general purpose links to different stuff. Get yourself a decent radio that does mixing and has some model memories too. A good charger never goes astray either. JR is a good brand. Mike at http://www.modelflight.com.au won't bullshit to you and has some second hand stuff every now and then.
